Photography

The paparazzi have become so commonplace in LA that nobody seems to notice when cameras are pointed in their direction. It’s always polite to ask people if they mind being a part of your composition, but you’ll rarely run into trouble if you forget to do so. As in other US cities, photography is prohibited in some parts of the airport, in government buildings and near any military compounds. Surprisingly, most malls discourage photography, even with small point and shoots. Outdoors, even tripods rarely draw attention. Indoors, however, security guards will sometimes ask you to move along if they see you setting up a steady shot.
