All restaurants in Los Angeles are regularly inspected by the Department of Public Health’s Environmental Health Division (626 430 5200; www.lapublichealth.org/eh). Upon completion of inspection, each restaurant is given a letter rating of A, B or C (A being the highest) and are required to post this in plain view of the customer. Be wary of eating at establishments below a B rating, or worse, no posted rating at all.
