Fly from Sharjah, Dubai or Abu Dhabi to Doha International Airport with Air Arabia, Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways, from Dhs.650 return.
Visas
Residents of GCC nations (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) with an ‘approved profession’, and citizens of a number of other countries can obtain a one-month visa on arrival, at a cost of 100 QAR (around Dhs.100), to be paid by credit card. Citizens of some countries will need to apply prior to travel. Check moi.gov.qa before you fly, and for a list of approved professions.

Climate
Mild winters and extremely hot summers. Temperatures can reach 50°C in July and August and feel even more uncomfortable than the UAE. The best time to visit is between October and April.
