Government Hospitals
There are four main government hospitals in Dubai: Al Baraha Hospital, Dubai Hospital, Latifa Hospital and Rashid Hospital. With the exception of emergency care, if you do not have health insurance you will need a health card to access their services. 

Private Hospitals
Most private hospitals offer a high standard of care and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient facilities, and should be able to cater to any specialist needs. Once you have registered with your chosen hospital, it is easier to return for further treatment. However, bear in mind that many services offered in hospitals are also available at clinics and specialist practices in other parts of the city. Furthermore, when it comes to maternity care, it's worth doing your research to find the hospital that you feel most comfortable with.
