This enjoyable drive winds through the mountains to Wadi Ash Shiya and Wadi Sarfah and ends with a rewarding swim and some prime camping spots. This route does involve a border crossing but once through and off the smooth tarmac, the track along the wadi bed takes you into remote, rocky countryside before reaching the pools at the head of the valley. It is an ideal place to escape for a weekend of peace and quiet.
