The independent shopping scene in Paris is very healthy indeed, with new boutiques popping up in all the most fashionable areas of the city. Though some undoubtedly have a short lifespan, there are many that go the distance. Knowing where to find the hottest and chicest new boutiques is simply a matter of becoming familiar with Paris’ up and coming neighbourhoods. In the past few years this has meant the 10th, 18th, 13th and 11th arrondissements. There is also a great concentration of indie shopping spots around the north Marais, into the 3rd. Go forth and shop.
