Domestic banks’ ATMs can be found in most of their local branches as well as in many of the city centre’s shopping malls and department stores. Around 140 new ATMs are to be placed at 50 Metro stations on lines 6, 8 and 9. Conveniently, some ICBC and China Construction Bank ATMs now take Cirrus and MasterCard, and all Bank of China ATMs accept the Visa/Plus card system. International bank ATMs, which only accept foreign cash cards, can now be found in many high-end hotels and luxury shopping malls and are often 24 hour. Try not to visit ATMs alone, late at night; there have been reports of women being harassed and robbed.
