Hongqiao is a popular address for families because of the easy access to international schools. The Livingston American School, Rainbow Bridge International School, Shanghai Community International School and the Sino-Canada School (5111 3113) all have Hongqiao campuses. The area also has several pre-school and kindergarten programmes. Some residents bus their children west to the Shanghai American School, Shanghai Singapore International School and British International School in Minhang, or the Eurocampus in Qingpu.­­­­
