Special Needs Education
Singapore has a number of schools that cater to the needs of children with physical, mental and social difficulties. A few mainstream schools such as Dover Court Preparatory School accept children with special needs, but you should speak to admissions staff for details. While you can arrange for home visits from private psychologists, there are no official home schooling programmes for special needs children in Singapore.
The Association for Persons with Special Needs operates five schools (three primary, one middle and one high school). Although the vast majority of the students are citizens or permanent residents of Singapore, the schools do accept expat children at considerable tuition fees.
