Much of Mid-Levels is considered upscale; the apartments here tend to be large and expensive with good views and many blocks have penthouses, often with a roof garden or terrace. This is an expat-concentrated area so you won’t get much of the local culture on your doorstep. New blocks like Dynasty Court, Queen’s Garden, Clovelly Court, Mayfair Aigburth and many others offer facilities such as a a swimming pool, tennis court, gym, clubhouse with activities and shuttle bus service. Old apartments still attract hefty rents even though the newer blocks are slowly creeping in. But it’s the older buildings that provide a sense of character with excellent layout, space and large balconies. Rents range from $35,000 to $120,000.
