Housing
There is good news and bad news about the New York housing market. The bad news is that it is expensive and cut-throat. If you find a reasonably priced place that you can afford, you do not have time to dwell on whether or not to take it – in the blink of an eye it will be gone. The good news is that there is so much diversity in the five boroughs of New York City that whatever your needs or desires, there is a place for you here. Even if it doesn’t seem to be your heart’s desire when you choose your living space, it is sure to grow on you. Each neighbourhood is rich with its own flavour and tempo, and many New Yorkers, once used to their own neighbourhood, become so provincial that they are reluctant to stray to other areas of the city.
