Morning: Grab a takeaway breakfast khameer from Mama Tani in Jumeira, and eat it on one of the area's fabulous beaches, such as Jumeirah Open Beach.
Afternoon: Head to the opulent Burj Al Arab for the most luxurious afternoon tea in town to start off your holiday in style.
Evening: Dine at a Michelin starred restaurant such as Reflets by Pierre Gagnaire.
Day 2: Culture Vulture
Morning: Take a tour of Jumeirah Mosque followed by a visit to the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Cultural Understanding for a traditional Emirati lunch.
Afternoon: Explore Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and take an abra across Dubai Creek to haggle in the souks.
Evening: Step aboard a traditional dhow, such as Bateux Dubai, for a night of Arabic food and entertainment.
Day 3: Bab Al Shams
All Day: Get pool passes to Bab Al Shams and spend the day in the peace of the desert at this luxury resort. Explore the dunes on an electric scooter, or hit the spa.
Evening: Watch the sun go down over the dunes at the rooftop bar, then dine at Al Hadheerah and enjoy an impressive Arabic buffet and fabulous heritage show.
Day 4: Hit the Capital
Morning: Head down to Abu Dhabi and jump on a Big Bus Tour to get you're bearings. Hop off at the incredible Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and grab an audio tour console.
Afternoon: Step off the bus at Manarat Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island. Have lunch at Fanr and try camel burgers, before checking out the wonderful exhibitions.
Evening: Head over to Yas Island and have dinner at one of the restaurants in the marina complex. From here you can gaze over at the space-age Yas Viceroy hotel, and and take a wander next to the Formula 1 track.
Day 5: Life's a Beach
All day: Head to The Beach at JBR and take in the buzzing atmosphere of this city beach. Splash around in the shallows with Marsa Dubai's stunning skyscrapers forming a back drop.
Evening: Stroll along Marina Walk and eat at one of the many cafes that line the waterway, before a cocktail at Shades, The Address Dubai Marina, where you can take in the incredible skyline.
Day 6: Shop 'til you drop
Morning: Spend the morning shopping and marvelling at the enormous window of Dubai Aquarium.
Afternoon: Have afternoon tea at At.mosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, and see how the city, sea and desert come together.
Evening: Watch the Dubai Fountain from the terrace of Mango Tree, followed by cocktails at Neos, The Address Downtown.
