Gyms
There are plenty of gyms to join and hotels offer health club memberships if your complex doesn't have facilities. Hiltonia Health Club & Spa and Monte-Carlo Beach Club have excellent gyms, beaches and swimming pools. The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr has gyms and outdoor pools, while the Sheraton has an established gym with squash courts and plenty of classes. The Club offers beaches, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a good gym but membership can be steep and waiting lists long.
Independent gyms usually offer day passes for Dhs.100 to Dhs.250. Or join group exercise classes or a team sport to get your active kicks, Zayed Sport City being a great first port of call. The Abu Dhabi Country Club also offers personal trainers, and coaching in squash, tennis and swimming.
