The Point is located on North Wall Quay just beyond the IFSC and be warned it is a bit of a trek down and back! Another venue, which often hosts big-name acts is the Olympia Theatre (01 679 3323, www.mcd.ie/olympia) on Dame Street. Fans of rock and metal should check out Eamonn Dorans (01 679 9114) in Temple Bar. Bleu Note (01 878 3371, www.bleunoteclub.com) on Capel Street is where you will find jazz and blues in Dublin. Every Summer, Dublin Castle plays host to the Heineken Green Energy Festival. Previous acts include Sinead O’Connor, Iggy Pop and Snow Patrol. Bud Rising (www.budrising.ie) is another summer festival held in Marley Park, which has in the past seen acts such as The Foo Fighters, The Chemical Brothers and Franz Ferdinand.
