Pasadena touts itself as pedestrian friendly and there are several fun areas where you won’t need your car. In commercial areas there’s a mixture of public and private carparks, as well as metered parking. Traffic in and out of the city on the 110, 134 and 210 freeways can be very congested. You can avoid this by hopping the Gold line Metro, which travels between Pasadena and Downtown, with six stations in Pasadena. The Burbank Airport is more convenient for Pasadena than LAX.
