For many procedures, you’ll have to produce your ‘essential documents’. At the very least, these are:

• Original passport
• Passport photocopies (including photo page and visa page, if appropriate)
• Passport photographs

Depending on the procedure, you may also need to show a copy of your employment offer, a salary certificate and a tenancy contract. It’s also a good idea to make copies of all your original documents and store them in a safe place.
