Money exchanges are found all over Muscat and Salalah, offering good service and exchange rates (often better than the banks). Exchange houses are usually open from 08:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, and often operate in the evenings and at weekends. Alternatively, hotels will usually exchange money and traveller’s cheques at the standard (noncompetitive) hotel rate. At Seeb International Airport, there is a Travelex counter before immigration to facilitate visa payments.
