Review: Churrasco Nights at Cabana

A meat-lovers’ dream in Downtown Dubai with dazzling views
 
In a nutshell
There’s always a good reason to visit Cabana at The Address Dubai Mall, but their meaty Churrasco night on a Thursday wraps up a busy week brilliantly. Outdoor tables are arranged to make the most of its elevated, rooftop position with stunning views of Burj Khalifa. The stylish bar and pool also makes this a lovely setting. When you aren’t admiring the views, however, this is a meat feast, and you’ll be looking for your next serving, which is carved at your table every 15 minutes or so.
 
Food
During dinner unlimited skewers of succulent beef, lamb and poultry are carved ‘rodizio-style’ at your table. Without question, the French chef has perfected his marinades and sauces. First out – and perhaps their finest offering – are the grand skewers of tender rib-eye. The mouth-watering beef has been slow-cooked and tenderised with precision. Next, trios of beef, chicken and lamb sausages arrive neatly packed and paraded on racks. Sizzling with flavours, these also hit the spot. Gorgeous grilled chicken makes an appearance on another spit, as the previous offerings continue to circle the tables. Second, third and endless helpings are certainly not frowned upon. Your waiter delivers side orders of tapioca, slithers of fried banana and, to help ease your digestion, does the rounds with skewers of grilled pineapple pieces. Meat aside, there is a separate buffet arrangement where you can add side servings of salad, vegetables, pasta and rice to your meat.  And, if that isn’t enough, take a trip to the buffet table for a dainty selection of sponges, cakes and pastries where coconut features generously.
 
Atmosphere
Churrasco at Cabana brings out the Latino carnivore in you. There’s a fiesta mood and live strumming from a talented string band.

Also, during December: Cabana’s Festive BBQ with interactive cooking stations, lavish food spreads, classic eggnog and hot chocolate while a resident DJ sets the mood on 25 December (12.30pm to 4pm or from 7pm to 11.30pm). Sway to the DJ, savour sushi, and chomp on a charcoal grill into the small hours, toasting in the New Year with a fireworks show and complimentary bubbly, from 7pm to 3am.
