Most bars in Amsterdam don’t have bouncers, but clubs do. If you’re wanting to head out to a club make sure you look the part. That means boys shouldn’t be wearing trainers and shorts. Large groups of girls typically will have no problem getting into clubs but boys should try and head in early if going out en masse. You’ll also encounter problems if the bouncer thinks you’ve had a few too many - it’s no use arguing or coming back later, just move on.
