Photography
Paris has to be one of the most photogenic, and photographed, cities in the world, and Parisians are used to tourists toting all manner of camera and video equipment, but that doesn’t mean they like it. When taking a photo of a stranger, either be discreet, or ask for permission. Street performers will gladly pose for photos, as long as they receive a few coins for their trouble.
Tripods are officially not allowed in front of major sites, and police will usually ask that they be put away. In addition, photography of restricted areas within Charles de Gaulle Airport is not allowed.
