Sitra
You may not immediately consider adding Sitra to your Bahrain holiday itinerary, but there is more to this small island off the north-east coast than meets the eye. While it is predominantly an industrial area – it’s home to a busy port and a number of factories – Sitra’s treasures become apparent once you head down to its southern coast.
By the beach
At the renowned Bahrain Yacht Club you can try your hand at a variety of watersports such as sailing and windsurfing. Alternatively, you can also simply sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful club house and beach. It’s a great place to spend the day as a family, with a delicious beach barbecue in the afternoon and live music entertainment in the evening. Alternatively, splash out on a trip to the beautiful Al Bander Hotel & Resort, which boasts pristine swimming pools, golden beaches and plenty of bars.
