Stationery
Office Depot is the first port of call for business and standard stationery requirements. The number of stores across Paris is innumerable, prices are low, fidelity cards are available and the range of goods – from pens to printer paper – is expansive. More limited ranges of basic stationery at very reasonable price points are available in all newsagents and supermarkets. But why shop standard when Paris offers such a great number of boutique, unique and designer papeteries? L’Ecritoire in the Marais stocks an amazing range of wax seals, quirky envelopes and inks while Marie Papier in the 6th arrondissement specialises in stunningly beautiful handmade paper and stationery, offering a custom service for businesses and special occasions. Espace Ecriture in the exclusive Place des Vosges has a stunning collection of antique letter-boxes and tables alongside glass pens and goose and swan quills selling for around €15. Relma is another treasure trove of goods including decorative papers and book binding materials. French company, Cassegrain, is one for lovers of luxe with its collection of leather diaries, journals and blotters, wallets and fine pens, while international luxury goods label, Mont Blanc, is justly famed for its exquisite (and expensive) pens and assorted accessories.
