Tokyo’s natural hot springs, known as onsen, range from a room with a simple bath to a massive complex offering bathing facilities, saunas, massage and beauty treatments, restaurants, karaoke and a plethora of relaxation rooms. As well as these natural springs (onsen) there are also many ‘artificial’ bathing centres known as sento located throughout the city.
