Most public CAPs have a family planning unit (planificacion familiar), known officially in Catalan as programa d'atenció a la salut sexual i reproductiva.

Contraception is not free on the public health system, and you will need a check-up with a gynaecologist in order to obtain prescriptions for certain types.
