Campsites
Despite being a big city, Berlin is not a bad place to pitch a tent. There are several campsites scattered around the greener parts of town, such as along the Havel and near Grunewald. A few are located near lakes, others have spots to park camper vans, and some of them – like the Tentstation next to the main train station – are marvellously hidden and not far from some of Berlin’s busiest streets. A spot for your tent will normally not cost more than €10 a night.
