Hotel Apartments

Apartment-like accommodation with kitchen facilities can be a good alternative to expensive hotels during an initial visit to the city before relocating permanently. Most of the short-term lets listed here offer sleek and modern accommodation in central Berlin. Amenities vary, but they all have internet access, cable TV, full kitchens and laundry facilities. Prices should start at around €100 a night.

Renting a furnished flat in Berlin is also a good option for stays ranging from a couple of weeks to a few months. The local English-language events magazine, ExBerliner, runs its own flat rental service with a good selection of private apartments. The cost of an apartment obviously depends on the flat, but rents in Berlin are considerably cheaper than in places such as London or New York. If you’re willing to spend €1,000 a month you’ll probably get a spacious flat in the centre of the city.
