Work & Business

There are two jurisdictions in Dubai for conducting business: Dubai ‘mainland’, and more than 20 free trade zones, which offer different advantages depending on your business type and activities.

If you choose to conduct business in the mainland, you will need to register with the Department of Economic Development (DED), which will issue you with a trade/business licence. Alternatively, each free zone has its own licensing body, and you will need to contact them directly for the licensing process.

Wherever you decide to set up, you will not have to pay any business or personal taxes.
