Pensions

The UAE’s first pension scheme for expatriates was launched by the NBAD Trust Company (Jersey) Limited – a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD). The Wealth Builder Plan is a corporate trust solution that allows employers to offer expat staff greater rewards through corporate savings – the first service of its kinds to be offered by a UAE bank.

The Wealth Builder Plan is underpinned by a range of investment fund options that employees can choose based on their risk appetite. The schemes are tailored for each client, and regular investments can be made solely by the company or by both employer and employee.

Moving to Dubai
If you have a pension scheme in your home country, it may not be worth continuing your contributions once you come to Dubai, but rather to set up a tax-free, offshore savings plan. It is always advisable to speak to your financial adviser about such matters before you make any big move.
