Selling

Selling a property in the UAE can be a simple process, but takes around six weeks to complete. Before putting up the ‘For Sale’ sign, sort out any maintenance issues and redecorate if needed. Then, you should market the property across a range of property websites. Most real estate agents can assist you with this by drawing floorplans, arranging viewings and giving you a free valuation based on market trends; you may also want to advertise the property on sites such as dubizzle.com.

Property transactions in Dubai can be viewed at their actual selling value on the Real Estate Regulatory Agency’s (RERA) site, dubailand.gov.ae. Finding a good agent to help you sell your home is important, as private property sales here are rare. Agents can charge up to 2% of the property price to cover the costs of marketing your property. It shouldn’t take long to find a buyer – Dubai’s real estate market is the world’s top performer according to a survey compiled by the Global Property Guide.
