Bus services within the city are run by RapidKL (www.rapidkl.com.my) and Metrobus. You can ride the extensive RapidKL bus network for RM2 for the whole day. Metrobus has a smaller network and you pay for each trip you make with fares ranging from 90 sen to RM2.50. Buses are not so popular with expat commuters since there are few bus lanes and they often get stuck in traffic. They are very crowded at peak times and traffic congestion can affect their reliability. Outside peak hours buses are handy for quick point-to-point trips, such as from Ampang to the city centre.
