Monorail

Running through the city centre from Titiwangsa to KL Sentral, the monorail (www.monorail.com.my) gives an excellent view of the city. It’s useful for commuting if you work in the Bukit Bintang or Jalan Sultan Ismail area and for quick trips around the city centre, although connectivity to major residential areas isn’t good. Fares range from RM1.20 to RM2.50, and you can use Touch ‘n’ Go to pay at the barriers. The monorail is quick – the journey from one end to the other takes about 20 minutes. The KL Sentral stop is a long walk from KL Sentral itself, so take this into account when planning a commute.
