KTM Komuter
The national rail company KTM (www.ktmb.com.my) runs air-conditioned commuter (KTM Komuter) trains connecting outlying suburbs to KL. If you’ve chosen to live further out from the city centre where some of the international schools are located, you may find the train makes your commute quicker. Fares start at RM1, with most journeys costing under RM10. Neighbourhoods served by trains include Sungai Buloh, Taman Seputeh, Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Kajang. Putrajaya is connected to KL by the KLIA Transit line. All Komuter lines pass through KL Sentral where you can connect to the LRT. Peak hour trains can be very crowded.
