Road signs can be confusing in France, as can road rules. Most importantly, remember the right of way. If you see a red and white triangular sign marked in the center with a symbol that resembles a rocket, you have the right of way. If the triangle is marked with an ‘X’ instead, beware of vehicles entering on the right. They have the priority!
