Emirates Airline Festival of Literature

We’re looking forward to seeing some big names in the literary world at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, which runs from 3 to 7 March.
This year, new authors will include: Ashwin Sanghi, author of the popular Chanakya’s Chant and The Krishna’s Key; illustrator Grahame Baker-Smith, who has recently been commissioned to design Alice in Wonderland stamps for the UK Royal Mail; Chief Executive of the Norwich Writers’ Centre, Chris Gribble; and Kate Mills, Fiction Editor at Orion Publishing.
Local talent will also be at the festival: Galagolia author, Dubai Abulhoul; author and translator, Omnia Amin; Rashad Bukhash, Director of the Architectural Heritage Department, Dubai Municipality; and Founder of Kuttab Publishing, Jamal Al Shehhi.
They will join some of the world’s top literary names including Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Charley Boorman, Jung Chang, Imtiaz Dharker, Nawal El-Saadawi, Jasper Fforde, Sophie Hannah, Bettany Hughes, David Mitchell, Michael Morpurgo, Eugene Rogan and Graeme Simsion.
The festival is in its 7th year, and will commence with an opening ceremony with readings from eminent authors as well as debates, panel discussions, talks and workshops on a variety of genres.
