Eat A Currywurst
In a city without an indigenous cuisine (the döner kebab being the only other dish that has some claim to being native), the Currywurst – a sliced pork sausage drowned in a ketchup-curry sauce – is culinary king. Debates rage over who came up with it, but this concoction (eaten alone, with bread or with french fries) is the signature Berlin food and is available at every Imbiss. You haven’t tasted the city unless you’ve had one.
