Communism’s enduring gift to Berlin – you’ve seen it peering down at you like a giant eyeball from almost anywhere in the city, now it’s time to reverse the perspective. The lift zips you up 203 metres (the entire tower is 368m) to a glass-enclosed ball that puts 360 degrees of flat topography below your feet. Weather permitting, all the major landmarks are visible and (if you can navigate the city’s grid well enough) maybe you’ll be able to spot your favourite building or bar.
