Dental care is widely available and generally good value with a high standard of care. Prices vary widely with dentists based at hospitals being more expensive. A full range of dental services are offered, including orthodontics for adults and children, cosmetic dentistry and whitening treatments. As with doctors, many dentists have trained overseas and speak excellent English. Unless there is an apparent problem, most children should have a first dental check up at around 3 years old when all the first teeth are present. Good dentists for children include the Yee Dental Surgery at Bangsar Shopping Centre, Wong Dental Clinic in the city centre and Dr Kartina Stephens at Gleneagles.
