Renewing A Liquor Licence

Licences are only valid for one year, after which time they must be renewed.

Prerequisites

  • Aged 21 or older
  • Non-Muslim 
  • UAE resident 
  • Must earn more than Dhs.3,000 per month

What to bring

  • Your expired liquor licence.
  • Passport-sized photos (two).
  • Passport with residence visa (copy).
  • Current Ejari-registered tenancy contract or property deeds (copy).
If under a spouse’s sponsorship, as well as the above documents you will need:
  • An NOC from your spouse.
  • Your spouse’s passport with residence visa (copy).
If your tenancy contract isn’t in your name (i.e. you live in shared accommodation) you will also need:
  • Ejari-registered contract of tenant (copy).
  • Tenant’s passport with residence visa (copy).
  • An NOC stating the tenant has no objection to you holding a liquor licence.
  • Dhs.160 renewal fee.
Procedure
  • Collect a renewal form from any MMI or A+E store.
  • Complete the form and get it stamped by your employer.
  • Submit form with the necessary documents and pay the fee.
