Going Home To Have The Baby

Most airlines start restricting travel by pregnant women after 28 weeks, and may insist on a doctor’s letter stating you’re fit to fly. Most airlines won’t allow you to travel at all after 36 weeks. Newborns over one week old are usually allowed to fly by airlines, but many parents prefer to wait until after the first set of immunisations before taking their new baby on a plane. You must apply for a passport for your baby before you can return to Malaysia. Your baby will then be issued with a social visit pass which you can convert to a dependent pass. Arranging postnatal care and healthcare for your baby won’t be a problem – just call the hospital to make the necessary appointments. If you can, bring all your medical records regarding your pregnancy with you to your home country and bring back any information about the birth and your baby’s health to Malaysia.
