Dress Code
The warm, sunny conditions are one reason that people flock to the city at all times of the year. Even though you may encounter a balmy 27°C (80°F) day in the middle of January, there are seasons here, and it sometimes rains in the winter. The rule of thumb in Los Angeles is to wear layers, as it gets cold at night, even during the summer months, so take a sweater or light jacket with you when you go out. You’ll be prepared for the day and for any trips to malls or movie theatres, which tend to blast the air-conditioning to compensate for the heat outside.
