Travelling With Children
Los Angeles is a wonderful place to be a child. Granted, parents or guardians have to drive their little ones all over, but there are so many activities here to amuse, from beaches and parks to museums and world-famous theme parks, such as Disneyland and Magic Mountain. Most restaurants are happy to provide high chairs or booster seats, while you’ll generally find that the more upscale a hotel is, the more accommodating it will try to be, regarding children, pets or anything else. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that California law requires that all children who weigh less than 36kg (80lbs) must be seated in the back seat of a car, and those under 6 years of age and 27kg (60lbs) must be strapped into an appropriate car seat or booster. Luckily, domestic car rental agencies are equipped to provide car seats should you need them.
