Meguro-ku

Meguro-ku is one of the most popular areas for expat living in Tokyo. With 12 embassies, good accessibility and perfectly situated between the heart of the city and the outer edges, it’s a great place to live if you are looking for a slower place of life. From Meguro station (which actually lies just outside the ward in Shinagawa) Meguro-ku fans out west and south-westwards until it reaches Setagaya-ku. It’s within easy reach of Shibuya, Shinjuku and Roppongi. The main residential areas are Meguro, Kamiōsaki, Aobadai, and Naka-Meguro. The area is primarily residential housing, with some urban pockets near Meguro station. The Megurogawa runs through the Aobadai, Naka-Meguro and Meguro areas, which are a hybrid of slightly developed and semi-suburban quiet.
