In the recent past Les Corts was an isolated farming village, some distance from Barcelona. Although now firmly in the grasp of the city, it remains largely self sufficient and the abundant amenities mean you may never need to go into town. It is a place for families and businesspeople alike, with many companies based here. The most famous local landmark is the Camp Nou. There are really two areas here; Les Corts itself and the upper part, Pedralbes.
