Books
English-speaking expats are well catered for in Berlin. There are several chain bookstores that offer a good selection of English-language books at reasonable prices. The two best chains are Hugendubel and Thalia, both of which are well represented in major shopping malls. There are several speciality stores either entirely devoted to English-language books or with a notably large English section.
Berlin’s love affair with all things second-hand extends to books, so you won’t have any problems getting your hands on a cheap read (you’ll also find plenty of used volumes for less than €1 at most markets around town).
