For most leisure opportunities, you’ll have to go outside the main Nerima area to places like Toshimaen, one stop away on the Ôedo line. There you’ll find an amusement park popular with the kids, as well as a quiet, affordable garden-style spa, Niwa No Yu (five minutes from the Toshimaen Ôedo line station), that has both mixed and single-sex bathing. Hop on the Ôedo line to Hikarigaoka, about 20 minutes away, and you’ll find Hikarigaoka Kôen, a large green space located on a former military base.
