Amending A Residence Visa - Employment
It is possible to amend your details on your residence visa (employment or family) before its expiry. A visa is usually required to be amended if you have changed your:
- Name
- Nationality
- Passport number (or obtained a new passport)
- Sponsor’s name
- Job title within the same company
Prerequisites
- AE residence visa
What to bring
- Original passport
- Old passport (in case of transferring residency to new passport)
- Labour card (copy) – if changing job title
- Dhs.170 fee
Procedure
- General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
- Your company’s PRO (public relations officer) should handle all the paperwork, meaning you won’t have to visit the GDRFA yourself to amend an employment sponsored residence visa.
