Ginza and the riverside district are almost exclusively the domain of high-rise apartment developments. These exclusive addresses can cost as much as ¥1.5 million per month for a three bedroom space overlooking the Sumidagawa. One bedroom apartments are hard to come by, and even then they are in excess of ¥400,000 a month. Towards the Nihonbashi area, which is mostly office and banking buildings, there are some more modest apartment blocks to be found mostly with one and two bedroom spaces. 1K apartments in the area cost about ¥80,000 to ¥120,000 per month, 2DK properties cost ¥160,000 for older buildings and up to ¥350,000 for new buildings with a gym and parking space.
