Shopping & Amenities

The Ginza area, which runs up to Nihonbashi and down to the Shiodome complex on the southern tip of Chûô-ku bordering the port, is one the main shopping sectors in Tokyo. It has a prestigious history of being the home base for many luxury Japanese brands and department stores, as well as for international luxury brands in Japan. There are several famous department stores like Mitsukoshi, Wako and Matsuya in the stretch of shopping wonder between Ginza and Nihonbashi. International grocery and food brands can be found in their basement food-halls. You’ll find status brands like Van Cleef and Arpels, and Prada alongside more affordable brands such as Adidas, Zara and Gap. Ginza has its fair share of gourmet dining mixed with more affordable options.

Away from the station, the Nihonbashi area turns into a forest of office buildings and convenience stores, so daily shopping needs might be difficult to meet, but Nihonbashi station has a Precce international market and some little cafes and shops. Closer to the riverside there is Harumi Island Triton Square at Kachidoki station, which makes for a pleasant riverside shopping experience.
