Petrol Stations
The top four petrol stations in China are Sinopec (China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation), CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation), Shell and Mobil. Attendants pump your petrol for you. Some stations have non-petrol services, but there is a good deal of variation in what is provided. Prices at all four companies tend to be about the same. Petrol with octane level (marked with a ‘hash’) 90# is ¥4.99 per litre; 93# is ¥5.34 per litre (the national standard); 97# is ¥5.68 per litre; 98# is ¥6.27 per litre. Diesel with 0# is ¥5.29 per litre, 10# is ¥5.62 per litre.
