Clothing & Shoes
For fashion that’s less mainstream, head to stores like Kitsch, S*uce and Five Green for their eclectic mix of funky fashion. You can get beautiful hand-crafted fabrics and traditional Indian clothing at Fabindia on Al Mankhool Road, or Melangè in Jumeirah Plaza. TKD Lingerie at Town Centre Jumeirah stocks larger cup sizes that can be otherwise hard to find.
For high-street fashion head to any of the major malls, and many of the smaller ones, where you’ll find pretty much all of the most popular international chains, such as Topshop, H&M, Forever 21, New Look, Pull & Bear and Mango.
For cut-price designer labels, Dubai Outlet Mall has all sorts of bargains, from designer to high street. Also check out My Ex Wardrobe for pre-loved labels. The streets of Karama are crammed with designer fakes, ranging from cheap knock-offs to good quality copies.
All of the main hypermarkets stock affordable clothing and shoes, and Lamcy Plaza is a real bargain-hunter’s mall – Mexx for Less, Peacocks and Factory Fashions are all excellent.
Shopping events such as Dubai Shopping Festival at the beginning of the year and Dubai Summer Surprises bring city-wide sweeping sales across all retail sectors; a great time to bag a discount.
